Lake Forest Open Lands Volunteer Work Day

Adults and children of all ages are welcome to participate in this volunteer work day. This is a great opportunity to visit a local natural area and personally contribute to its health and beauty! There is no required time commitment.  Arrive and leave at your convenience. Any and all help is much appreciated! 

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for outdoor work. Rubber boots are best. Lake Forest Open Lands will supply work gloves and any tools (sized for both adults and children) needed during the work day. 

Location: Everett Farm Nature Preserve 

Access and parking are located on James Court, east off of Telegraph Road (approximately 1/2 mile north of Route 22). Park in the small lot on the north side of James Court and walk east to the trailhead and kiosk.

Montessori from the Start Programs

We invite you to participate in Forest Bluff School's Montessori From the Start programs. These programs serve as a solid foundation for your child's earliest years and provide an excellent introduction to Montessori education and the goals of Forest Bluff School. You will gain a deeper understanding of your child's self-formation and have an opportunity to to meet other parents with children of similar ages.

*Please note: with the exception of the Newborn Series and Home Consultations, all Montessori Parent Events at Forest Bluff School are free of charge.

Newborn Series

The Newborn Series is a three-part educational program for expectant parents and parents with newborns. Topics include: the physical care of your newborn, preparing the home environment, and aiding the development of movement and cognition. Babies welcome!
