We invite you to participate in Forest Bluff School's Montessori From the Start parent education programs, which include lectures and book discussions throughout the academic year. These programs serve as a solid foundation for your child's earliest years and provide an excellent introduction to Montessori education and the goals of Forest Bluff School. You will gain a deeper understanding of your child's self-formation and have an opportunity to meet other parents with children of similar ages.
*Please note: Guests are welcome to attend Montessori Parent Events at Forest Bluff School. Space is limited. Please RSVP to Lynn Lillard Jessen at 847.295.8338. For the safety and security of the school, a completed Visitor's Form is required of all visitors before entering the building.

Parents with their babies—ages 12 months and younger—are invited to come to our Parent-Child Room from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on scheduled dates throughout the school year. The purpose of the Parent and Baby Practical Sessions is to help you understand the Montessori approach to child-rearing, to answer your questions, and to show you activities for home that match your baby’s current stage of development.
Please contact the school office at 847-295-8338 to sign up for a practical session. Due to limited space we ask that only one parent per baby attends. Once a session is full, we will start a waitlist, so please let us know right away if your plans change!
Private in-home sessions are available for parents seeking individualized guidance. We encourage parents of young children to attend our lectures and discussions (see above). Our blog is also a wonderful resource with suggestions for supporting the development of young children in the home.
Join us for a book discussion of "Raising Kids: Your Essential Guide to Everyday Parenting" by Sheri Glucoft Wong, LCSW, Olaf Jorgenson, EdD, Julie Lythcott-Haims
